What is the Co‑operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC)?

Founded in 1982, CHF BC serves and represents housing co‑operatives and related organizations in British Columbia.  CHF BC has almost 250 members.

How is CHF BC run?

CHF BC is governed by a board of 12 directors who serve two-year terms.  The board works with an executive director, who supervises ten employees.

Services

CHF BC provides such member services as:

• Education (trained instructors deliver a wide-range of workshops in co‑operative governance and management)
• Advice and consultation
• Public and government relations  
• Communications (quarterly news magazine and web services)
• Commercial services (including a group buying program and pooled banking services)
• 2020 Vision programs and services

CHF BC sponsors a diversity program, including a Disability Trust fund and a Domestic Violence Relief Fund.
