What is the Co‑operative Housing Association of Eastern Ontario (CHASEO)?

CHASEO was founded in 1996, and replaced an earlier association to serve and represent the housing co‑operatives of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa and the surrounding area. About 35 co‑ops are CHASEO members.

How is CHASEO run?

CHASEO is incorporated as a non-profit co‑operative and is governed by a board of seven directors. The federation employs one full-time and one part-time staff member.

CHASEO takes part in the lobbying activities organized nationally by CHF Canada. A staff member represents the association at CHF Canada’s Federations Committee.
