 Each year at the Annual General Meeting, CHF Canada members celebrate individual and collective achievements in co‑operative housing. To see past award recipients, check out the reports from previous annual meetings. And if you know of a co‑op or person deserving recognition, be sure to nominate them for one of these awards: Jim MacDonald Award for Social Change CHF Canada marked its 20th anniversary in 1988 by launching the Jim MacDonald Award for Social Change. This award recognizes action or achievement in any of the follow five categories:

Best Practices Award The Award for Best Practices in Co‑op Management recognizes innovative new ideas or original approaches with specific measurable outcomes. Any winning best practice must reflect the principles outlined in CHF Canada's Core Management Standards and illustrated in the publications Getting Management Right and Getting Governance Right. Winners of receive a cash prize of $1,000. To nominate a candidate for the Best Practices Award, contact David Spackman at dspackman@chfcanada.coop. Member Loyalty Awards CHF Canada recognizes co‑ops and other members that have supported the sector through long-time membership. Once your housing co‑op has been a CHF Canada member continuously for 20 or 30 years (or more), CHF Canada will contact you to present you with a Member Loyalty Award at its next Annual Meeting. |
