More than 600 CHF Canada members gathered in St. John’s, Newfoundland Labrador from May 25 — 28 for the 2011 annual meeting. St John’s Mayor Dennis O’Keefe welcomed members and spoke about the co‑operative communities in his city. Members heard reports about results of federal money for renovations and retrofits, the Aging in Place survey and a youth presentation from emerging co‑op leaders. They discussed key issues and attended a wide range of workshops.

This was CHF Canada’s first webcast of a national business meeting discussion so members from coast to coast were able to watch the proceedings online.

Members passed resolutions, elected new members to the Board of Directors, Ontario Council and Finance and Audit Committee, and honoured co‑ops and individuals who have made a difference to our movement.
