Victoria, B.C., hosts meeting
Great workshops, enthusiastic local volunteers, and a beautiful conference facility contributed to a very successful 2001 annual meeting in Victoria, British Columbia, from June 6 to 10.
One of the more important events at every annual meeting is the election of the Board of Directors.
Annual meetings are also places where we recognize outstanding achievements of co‑ops and individuals with our annual awards. At this year’s annual meeting we decided to thank those housing co‑ops who had belonged to CHF Canada for 20 years or more.
The annual meeting is often the location for a number of special events. This year's events included a rally for housing on the steps of the B.C. Legislature, a presentation by Mountain View co‑op, victim of a catastrophic fire, and a report on B.C.'s leaky co‑ops.
Members of CHF Canada set the direction of the organization at the AGM through debating and voting on the resolutions submitted to the meeting.
