The successful self-management of each housing co‑op depends on effective training.

In most provinces regional federations of housing co‑ops deliver a regular education program for housing co‑ops. In Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and parts of Ontario, CHF Canada mounts education events for co‑op members. Our Ontario Region sponsors special training for co‑ops originally funded under Ontario government programs.

At our annual meeting we offer education workshops to co‑op volunteers and staff from all across Canada on a range of topics relevant to co‑op life and operation, such as

As a service to our member federations, we train new co‑op housing educators across Canada and host occasional educators' conferences to keep their knowledge current.
