Accessibility

The hills of St. John’s

St. John’s, being a rugged coastal city, has quite a number of hills so walking any distance may be hard for people with mobility issues. The workshops will be held at the Delta St. John’s and the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland, and it is a long and hilly walk between the two facilities. The business meetings will be held at the St. John’s Convention Centre, which is very close to the Delta. See below for information about our shuttle bus service.

Shuttle Bus Service

CHF Canada is committed to making its annual meeting as accessible as possible for all participants. We will be providing shuttle bus service, including accessible buses that can accommodate wheelchairs, between the two workshop facilities (the Delta and the Sheraton) during the workshop program and throughout the other events. Buses will run continuously between the Delta, the Sheraton and the Convention Centre. Further information on the schedule will be sent directly to all registered participants in early May.

Auditory and visual needs

The elevators in the Delta St. John’s, the St. John’s Convention Centre, and the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland all have Braille and audible signals.

Transportation

Air travel
