![]() Mark your Calendar! You won’t want to miss CHF Canada’s 2012 AGM in spectacular Niagara Falls. Next June, over 700 volunteer leaders and managers from across Canada will gather to attend workshops, have their say in the business of the national federation, network with friends and fellow co‑operators, celebrate our achievements and the International Year of Co‑operatives, and of course, have some fun. Housing co‑ops will get the tools they need to prepare for the future, so make sure you plan to be there! Here are just some of the highlights Choose from over 50 workshops at the Member Education Forum (June 7, 8). Workshops will be held in the Marriot Gateway, the Marriott Fallsview, and the Niagara Falls Scotiabank Convention Centre. The Co‑operative Management Conference (June 6, 7, 8) provides plenaries and workshops for staff/managers of housing co‑ops. You will find information about workshops in the registration package and full workshop descriptions on this website in February. Have your say about policies, programs, and priorities at the National Business Meeting (June 9), which will be held in the Convention Centre. Join with others from your region at the Ontario Members Meeting and other regional caucuses (June 8). Find out more about what’s new for 2012. Registration, nominations and mailings Your co‑op can submit a resolution to be debated and voted on at the AGM. The deadline to submit a resolution is February 29th, 2012. You can run for a position on the CHF Canada Board of Directors, Ontario Council, or the Finance and Audit Committee. A Call for Candidates will be sent to all members in late January, where you’ll be able to find out more information about the positions available and how to submit a nomination. The registration package will be mailed to all members and posted on our website on February 28th, 2012, where you’ll find all of the information you need to register. The completed resolutions package and Annual Report will be mailed to members and posted on our website on April 25th, 2012. The meeting information book will be given to participants onsite.
