People who live in housing co‑operatives are a cross-section of Canada’s population, with a few distinctive differences. Just the facts summarizes what we’ve learned about ourselves from government studies and other research. Although we share common values, members of housing co‑ops are different from one another in many ways. We’ve developed some tools to help co‑op members become more aware of the things we have in common, while teaching us to respect our diversity. As with Canadians generally, the average age of people who live in housing co‑ops is rising. CHF Canada takes steps to encourage participation and leadership by youth in housing co‑op. |
