That’s why CHF Canada has created 2020 Vision — a process that will help your co‑op look clearly at what your community values, the quality of your management, governance, and environmental sustainability. Once you see all of these things clearly, you can create a vision and plan for your own future. The program aims to have all co‑ops meet high standards of operation — those that are preparing for the end of their operating agreement, as well as those that aren’t. Any co‑op that starts planning for its future and working on the standards of 2020 Vision is building a sound foundation for the future. Meeting these high standards of operation means that we can keep the housing we have, and secure it for the future, and perhaps, if many co‑ops get to work on that planning, we may even be able to expand.
